“Painting with oils on canvas, I use painterly brush strokes full of vibrant color that I emphasize in my subject. My paintings are realistic with an impressionistic vibrancy. I want every color that I put on the canvas to be there to help the composition. I use soft edges in the areas of the painting where I want less of the viewer’s attention, and use harder edges and more contrast for my center of focus. My warm yellows, oranges and reds go in front of the light – the highlights; while my blues, greens and purples go behind the light – the shadows. My subjects come from my personal photos that I have taken on trips around the country. I paint scenes of Texas, Mackinac Island, Michigan, the mid-west and great plains of America, historic route 66, Key West, antique trucks and cars, horses, cows, and cocktail/bar scenes. I wish to share my love of animals, nature, history, and my views of the world with my collectors and appreciators of my art.”

Born on a farm in Fremont, Michigan, Kristy McNelly’s early days were spent riding horses and playing in the woods along the creek. Art has been a long pastime since childhood. It is that love for nature and animals that is still carried into her work today as an oil painting artist. An active volunteer and director of the AgriCultural Museum and Arts Center in Boerne, Texas, Kristy enjoys putting on events and antique tractor pulls.  She can also be seen on back roads around Texas driving her seafoam green antique 1950 Ford Truck called “Seabiscuit”.  Kristy graduated from Michigan State University with both an art and geography degree before moving to Bergheim, Texas where she resides on a ranchette with her husband, Chuck.  Kristy invented and patented a urethane plastic horseshoe called Ground Control Horseshoes in 1999, which she sells worldwide. As a graphic designer, Kristy has owned her own business, Polonyx, for over three decades. All through the years, Kristy has continued to oil paint, showing and selling her art and taking art workshops to further her skills. She is a member of Oil Painters of America, Cowgirl Artists of America, American Impressionist Society, Boerne Visual Artists, American Women Artists, American Plains Artists, and Key West Art Center & Gallery.

I am the photographer behind Albert Garcia Photography, focused on capturing the landscapes, culture, and spirit of the Texas Hill Country and surrounding areas. My work features longhorns, wildflowers, rural scenes, and iconic Texas imagery—photographs that resonate strongly with both locals and visitors looking to take a piece of Texas home. I specialize in large, high-quality prints, including statement pieces and panoramic formats that stand out in a market setting. I regularly participate in local markets and enjoy interacting with customers, sharing the stories behind my photographs, and helping people find meaningful pieces, whether they’re visiting from across the state or traveling internationally. My goal is to create a welcoming experience while offering artwork that reflects the beauty and identity of Texas.

Photography

Acrylic paintings on canvas. I take inspiration from nature, mythological and themes. My jewelry pieces are silver and stone, and I do all the lapidary and silversmithing myself.

I call my style “tight Impressionism”. If you look close, you’ll see impressionistic stokes, but from a distance, the paintings look realistic.

Cindy Cherrington

Without the use of any traditional paint, I create landscape, auto powdered, crushed, and cut pieces of glass, which all get fired in a kiln Vicinity.

Fused glass

I paint original acrylic works in a loose impressionistic style with a touch of realism, combining expressive brushwork with recognizable subjects. Much of my work is inspired by the Texas Hill Country and also includes Tuscan landscapes, birds (especially Cardinals), and wine-inspired still life compositions, with a focus on light, atmosphere, and a sense of calm.

Acrylic

My work is traditional realism with a twist. I use non realistic colors in my pieces. I’ve done a lot of work of Boerne, christianity, and animals.

Jewelry

I am a Lapidarist and Silversmith that designs and makes Southwest Style Jewelry. Stones used in my creations include Turquoise, Lapis, Chrysocolla, Agates and other natural gems and minerals that I hand cut, fashion and wrap in Silver.

I like to create clay vessels inspired by our native Texas plants along with sculptural vessels revolving around critters. As an avid windowsill gardener, small-scale plant pots are an obsession along with little wildflower vases, jars, and cups. I use a combination of wheel throwing and hand building. My surface treatments utilize native plant leaves, original relief carvings, and crocheted forms.

Ceramics

Using my own photography as source material, I create acrylic paintings on canvas and cradled wood panels, layering color and texture featuring landscapes and birds.
