Join us for the exciting 11th Annual Boerne Art Waddle located along the Cibolo Creek trail. This is a relaxed fun event with the attributes of a major fine art event. Self-guided route maps will indicate all Artists’ locations. Artists will have the opportunity to interact with Waddlers (the Public) through art demonstrations and booth chats in their assigned areas. Great food, music, and activities for all ages. Get on board with a renowned group of registered Waddle Artists who will be exhibiting their works for sale, and cash awards.
The Waddle weekend kicks off Friday, May 12th, with a Meet the Artists reception from 4pm – 7pm at Salvador Dobbs, 512 River Rd, Boerne, TX 78006.
The Boerne Art Waddle goes into full swing on Saturday from 10am – 4pm with, various events throughout the day, including a family/kids activity area.
Proceeds support: Scholarships for children to attend the Cibolo Center and Farm Summer Art Camp, and Hill Country Council for the Arts programming. The Hill Country Council for the Arts is a 501(c)(3) organization.
Fees: Booth fee of $75, non-refundable. Make check or money order payable to HCCArts, and mail to Events on Main/Boerne Art Waddle address shown below.
Staff Support: Staff will be present on site throughout the entire Waddle schedule of events Friday and Saturday. Contact information will be posted.
Set-up: Artists can set up Friday with advance approval of the Event Director, Coordinator David Querbach. Saturday set up will begin at 7am – 10am, Art Waddle opens promptly at 10am. Vehicles must be moved from loading area by 10am. Tear down begins at 6pm on Saturday. Absolutely no early staging of cars and trailers will be allowed due to residential and business operations.
Vendor Equipment: We suggest all vendors have a canopy since areas may not be fully shaded, along with the necessary tables and chairs for their booths. Vendors are responsible for bringing any equipment along with appropriate tie downs or weights (25lbs per leg suggested). Tents, tables, and chairs can be rented for a fee.
Accommodations: We have chosen Comfort Inn & Suites Texas Hill Country, 35000 IH-10 West, Boerne, Texas 78006 of which is offering discounted rates to Waddle participants as well as Waddlers coming in for the weekend. There are also many B&B’s and other motels in the area available for accommodations.
ATMs: ATMs will be available at various locations for Waddlers and artists convenience.
Port-a-Pots: Facilities will be located on the event footprint in addition to the City’s fixed public bathroom locations.
Pets: This is a pet-friendly event at outdoor locations, and owners are expected to pick up after their pets. Excessive barking is discouraged and may result in your being asked to remove your pet.
Badges: Vendors will be given badges with lanyards for participant identification and entry into the Artists’ areas.
Security: Police will be available if required for an emergency on Saturday. No security is being provided on Friday night. If you wish to setup your tents, tables, and chairs we cannot be responsible for them. Events Off Main, staff and affiliates, merchants, the Hill Country Council for the Arts, and the City of Boerne accept no liability for any reason monetarily or otherwise for artist’s equipment, artworks – original or reproduced, vehicles, etc. By signing this application, the artist named below holds harmless all organizations and individuals associated with the Boerne Art Waddle for any reason. You also agree to allow the event the use of any pictures of artwork or individuals for use in promotional material media relative to the event.
Cancellations: Booth fees are non-refundable.
