“Texas is a land of persistance. I have often wondered how it ever was settled with it’s harsh and ever-changing weather.  Who stopped here in the sweltering summer pre air conditioning days and said “this is it!”? But there is a spirit here that is undeniably eternal.  That spirit is embodied in this piece, “Where the Beautiful Bluebonnets Grow”. The longhorn, the armadillo, the painted bunting, the monarch butterfly, the Indian blankets and of course, the bluebonnets. Each has their story to tell. A story of lovely, rugged enduringness. A story of how you can be tough as nails and still be so soulfully beautiful. And when they all come together in one scene? Well, it’s undeniably perfect.” Susan Baker Logrbrinck
